Please feel free to reach out for more specific information about your appointment.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
Yes! We offer free cancellations up to two hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Rescheduling is free as long as the notary has not left for the appointment.

What ID's are accepted?
A valid government issued Photo ID is acceptable. Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, Inmate ID if presently in state or federal custody, Driver's licenses officially issued in Mexico or Canada & Permanent resident card. Non accepted IDs: DMV Extension Receipts, Birth & Marriage Certificates, Green Cards, Social Security Cards, School IDs & Travel Visas.

Last-Minute Notarizations
On a time crunch? Early in the morning, or late at night? I can offer last-minute notarization based on if my schedule permits. It is always preferred to make an appointment, but I can accommodate if able in a pinch. Express services may be subject to an additional fee.

What if I do not have a valid ID?
We can still notarize it! We need two Credible Witnesses with valid ID that can confirm they personally know you and you are the person named on the document. They must have valid ID themselves and not be named in or benefit from the document. An expired ID may be used if issued by government or state within the last five years. Every ID must have a Photograph, Expiration, Physical Description, Signature & Issue Date.

Can a notary public prepare my documents?
A notary public serves an important role in verifying the identity of the signer, but it is important to understand that they are not permitted to prepare legal documents, choose which notarization you require or provide legal advice unless they are licensed attorneys. It's essential to seek the guidance of a qualified attorney for any legal matters.

What is an Apostille?

An “apostille” is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961. A list of countries that accept apostilles is provided by the US State Department. The Office of the Secretary of State provides apostille and authentication services to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals on documents that will be used overseas. Apostille is a certificate that authenticates the signature of a public official in a document for use in another country. An Apostille certifies:
-
the capacity in which that public official acted, and
-
the authenticity of the signature of the public official who signed the document,
-
when appropriate, the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears, e.g. a notary public seal

An Apostille simplifies the process of legalizing documents such as birth certificates, marriage licenses and court orders. Essentially, it verifies that a document is genuine and can be internationally accepted without further authentication. This makes it easier for individuals and businesses to handle legal matters across borders.
